The main body pieces are numbered in recommended order of installation for the best result. Not installing in the recommended order could result in misalignment or non-fitment. When installing your kit, it is recommended that you are in a sealed dry area with no breeze or dust at temperatures above 60 degrees, and below 90. Make sure that the surface of your ski is completely clean and free of dirt, grease, oils, wax, or any other residues that might keep your graphics from adhering properly. Useful tools that are needed for the best installation are 1.) A hair dryer to help get rid of any unwanted wrinkles and helps the pieces lay down more effectively on curved surfaces, but be sure not to apply too much heat on one area, because it will melt and discolor the vinyl. 2.) An X-acto knife could be required, as some pieces require trimming because they are made oversized for ease of installation and better fitment. 3.) An installation Kit and a Seal Pen (See Below).
> We recommend taping the pieces in place before peeling the backing paper, in order to see how the pieces are going to layout, before committing.
> Remove front & rear bumper caps, all water by-pass fittings, and any sponsons before installation because peices are usually intended to install behind these items.
> Some pieces are made oversized, so you can “float & trim”, and may require trimming.
> Some pieces such as number plates are intentionally made to go over multiple body pieces so it looks better after install. Ignore the body-line and place the piece where it was designed to go according to the rendering, then trim through the body space, then wrap/tuck the access material into the space so you can see the design continue into the space.
> The wetter the better!!! If you aren’t able to easily slide and manipulate the pieces, then pull back and wet again.
> DO NOT USE SOAPY WATER, because it lowers the tac of the graphics, and they will come off once you hit the water!
> Install any loose logos last, after the graphics.
> Go slow and be patient, If you try to rush the installation, you will definitely get a less than desirable result.
> After your installation is complete, be sure to wait at least 4-5 days, and preferably let your watercraft sit in direct sunlight as much as possible to allow the adhesive to fully bond before hitting the water. Even just a little water getting between your graphics and your hull can rip off your graphics when traveling through the water, especially for any pieces that might be below the bumper/bond-flange.
VERY IMPORTANT!!!:
Get a Better Result Out of Your Installation! We recommend using the installation tools listed below for the best end-result.
> Installation Kit: 1.) Application Solution to help slide your graphics in place easier during installation, and this will also help create a stronger bond to the surface after drying 2.) A flexible low-friction squeegee with stability twin ribs for easy handling and pressure control, and to protect your new graphics from scratching during the installation.
> Seal Pen: Make Sure Your Graphics Stay in Place: One of the coolest things about our kits are the sharp aggressive race inspired lines that we utilize in our designs, but with all those edges and points they need a bit of help staying in place. Make sure that you use a Graphic Seal-Pen around the points and some of the edges where the graphics could peal, especially on the bottom, before hitting the water.
